DESTINY

VALLE DE BRAVO

The town of Valle de Bravo is in the municipality of the same name, in the west of the State of Mexico and two hours from Mexico City. It existed even before colonial times. Its original name in Mazahua was Pameje. In 1971, the Federal Government gave it the title of “Typical City.” In this century, specifically in 2005, the Ministry of Tourism incorporated it into the “Magical Towns” program. Indeed, there are many things to do in Valle de Bravo. The magic of this destination, its cobbled streets, the tiled houses, its winding roads that go up and down the mountains, its bars and cafes, its landscapes of intense blues and greens, its traditions, its crafts and pottery, its religious celebrations, and its air of exclusivity have attracted visitors and residents for decades.
The alternatives for ecological, historical, artistic, and religious tourism are countless.

Of course, lovers do not need more than the seduction of the romantic night lamps, a secluded spot in front of the lake, a glass of wine in an intimate restaurant. But the natural landscape also calls for adrenaline addicts for sports in Valle de Bravo, like mountain biking, horse riding, parasailing, sailing, and waterskiing.

Although Valle de Bravo has a style that distinguishes it, the watchful eye will find its pre-Hispanic traces. Colonial art awaits you in religious and civil architecture works, and contemporary ingenuity will also appear before your gaze at the slightest provocation.

The wisest traveler, after all, knows that undertaking the infinite adventure of knowing himself and harmonizing his being with Nature, in tune with life, is the proper path. For such an undertaking, Valle de Bravo also raises its hand in the very first place.
